So far, two acceptable programs have emerged. Both are DOS-based.

SD by EI5DI, which requires you to update this year’s park changes manually. Shareware, cost 25 Euros.  The free demo version is good for 30 QSO’s.

NA Logger, which has been updated with all of the latest park update for 2010.  Availble for a donation to the author.

This package produces two files which can be emailed (or printed and mailed) as your submission to the OSPOTA Committee.  Think of that–You won’t have to spend hours figuring out multipliers and dupes, or recopying your illegible handwritten logs.

Thanks to the efforts of Ted W8KVK,  you can download a fully functional NA Logger package and all of its accouterments,  from this page. Please take the time to familiarize yourself with Ted’s one-page illustrated tutorial.

Watch for announcements here as well as at the OSPOTA Yahoo group for additional details about this year’s contest.  The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has been a great partner in this event and we hope that they will be back on board with a prize donation this year.

  • Contacts made after September 1, 2008 qualify for this award.
  • Contacts must be verified by QSL card or EQSL card only. Card must specify the Ohio State Park claimed for credit.
  • Contacts can be on any of the Amateur HF and VHF bands, any mode. Repeater contacts are not eligible for this award, nor can a repeater be used to solicit contacts.
  • Stations submitting proof of contact with all 75* Ohio State Parks will receive a numbered certificate, the first 10 will also be eligible for a plaque.
  • Stations submitting proof of traveling to and activating all 74* Ohio State Parks will receive a numbered plaque.
  • All stations submitting for a certificate must forward a WAOSPA application along with a 9X13 SASE.
  • All stations submitting for a plaque must forward a WAOSPA application along with a $7.95 money order payable to: WB8LCD – Thomas R. Sly,to pay for shipping and handling. (WB8LCD is the WAOSPA sponsor)

    • Application forms for the Worked All Ohio State Parks Award will be available here shortly after the contest.

    * There are currently 75 Ohio State Parks. This number can change as the number of Parks changes in the future. “All Ohio State Parks” will be defined as all current parks at time of application for the award.
